CTP is the French industrial research centre for the pulp & paper industry with a staff of 140 workers. Its turnover of €11 million is 40% fundedby the French Ministry of Industry and 60% through  research  contracts.  CTP’s  main  mission  is  to  develop  and  transfer  technical  and scientific knowledge to the pulp & paper, printing and converting industries through research expertise and facilities at both laboratory and pilot-plant levels, interaction with pulp & paper, printing & converting industries, close co-operation with other pulp & paper research institutes in Europe and worldwide and with national research laboratories (Grenoble-INP, CNRS, CEA, INRA).

ITENE is a research institute which was set up in 1994 as a private non-profit research centre integrated with businesses, entities and institutions in the packaging, transport and logistics industries. ITENE’s main activities are R+D+I project development and technological services (including promotion and dissemination) for companies (mainly SMEs). ITENE is the coordinator of the Spanish Technology Platform on Packaging.

ALMUPLAS is a Spanish SME specialising in the processing of plastics for the food, chemical and cosmetic industries, among others. It has injection machines ranging from 35 to 580 tonnes. ALMUPLAS knows the importance of the innovation in the packaging sector in order to satisfy the market demands. Thus, ALMUPLAS is very interested in participating in R&D projects as a tool to stay innovative and competitive. In this sense, it is currently participating in an ERDF-funded  research  project  in  which  ALMUPLAS  develops  a  new  biodegradable  material  to manufacture small capacity packages for the cosmetic sector by means of blow processes.

AFC Biotechnical Process is part of knowhow of Arctic Fiber Company Ltd, which main idea is to concentrate on the development of bioprocesses and analytical techniques for environmental and sustainable material bioprocessing purposes. The personnel of the company has already over 20 year experience trough the development of biotechnical processes in defibrillisation and modification of non-wood and wood fibres. The personnel of AFC has worked in many international and national projects especially in developing biotechnical processing   methods of flax and other natural fibres, providing comprehensive biotechnical knowledge into projects.
